Plans have been submitted to build 230 homes next to a former air force base which is already earmarked for development.
Developers Richborough Estates and Lone Star Land have applied for development on land to the north of Camp Road in Heyford Park.
The plans show that a new access point for the development would be created from Camp Road.

A planning statement said: “It is the intention to deliver housing quickly on the site with the potential for well over one hundred dwellings to be completed within the five-year monitoring period.”
The site lies immediately next to the former RAF Upper Heyford base which is allocated for the development of a new settlement.
The former airbase has been identified as a strategic site known as ‘Heyford Park’.
The allocation seeks to secure the delivery of 1,600 homes in addition to the 761 already as well as the necessary supporting infrastructure, including primary and secondary education and appropriate community, recreational and employment opportunities.
The former United States 1,230-acre air force base was previously used as vehicle storage and a processing site for nearly 16,000 vehicles.
Plans say 35 per cent of the 230 homes would be affordable housing.
There would also be an informal open space and recreation routes incorporating the existing ponds along the western edge of the site as well as new footway and cycle links.

A planning statement said: “The proposed development will contribute to the creation of an enhanced community at Heyford Park, supported by existing connectivity and transport routes, services and amenities and employment opportunities.
“Access to green space and play space will ensure a pleasant environment for people to live whilst improving health and wellbeing for new and existing nearby residents.
“Promoting access to nature will encourage walking, jogging, cycling and other recreational activities.”
Part of the site has been subject to one planning application previously almost ten years ago but it was withdrawn before determination.
Manufacturer EP Barrus applied for hybrid planning permission in December 2014 for the erection of a total of 22,000 square metres of warehouse and logistics floorspace.
The application was withdrawn in April 2017 as the applicant found alternative premises within the district.
It is estimated that the delivery of up to 230 homes is likely to bring 559 new residents.
The application says that the development of 230 homes has the potential to generate approximately £460,000 in council tax per year.
