Neighbours have spoken of their shock after a car crashed into apartments in Oxford last night (June 24).
The aftermath shows the car on the grass at the front of the flats, plus a gaping hole in the side of the building with the room inside clearly visible.
Tom Hooker, whose sister lives in the flats, told the Oxford Mail that around 8.30pm a Skoda lost control on a roundabout and hit the flats in Elizabeth Jennings Place in Summertown.
He said there was a 'commotion' with emergency services and police rushing to the scene.
He said: "It was a huge smash. The fire brigade and police came. Fortunately that room was not occupied and just had some bits of furniture in it. The driver was arrested.
"It was lucky no one was injured. The apartment was wrecked."
The emergency services have been contacted for comment.
