A lorry driver who denies causing the death of cyclist El Len Tham dialled into his plea hearing from a truck cab.
James Lindsay, 46, is accused by prosecutors of knocking down the 44-year-old university college administrator’s death, who was also known as Ellen Moilanen, as he turned his Mercedes Auroc lorry into a bus lane.

The collision took place outside Oxford Parkway railway station on Oxford Road, south of Kidlington, during the morning rush hour on February 8 last year.
Appearing before Oxford Crown Court on Friday morning (June 23), Lindsay, of Rackheath, Norfolk, pleaded not guilty to a single count of causing death by careless driving.
He appeared in court via a video link, sitting in the cab of what appeared to be a lorry. On the back wall of the cab could be glimpsed the green and gold flash of a Norwich City FC pennant flag and scarf.
Judge Ian Pringle KC bailed Lindsay to attend the crown court for the trial on November 13. The trial is expected to last four to five days.
