A van driver was threatened with a metal bar in a road rage incident on the A420 near Appleton today.
It happened at about 10.15am, when a white lorry stopped on the A420 close to the junction with the A338.
The driver got out and confronted the driver of a silver Southern Electric Ford Fiesta van, who had been driving in front of him, and threatened him with a metal bar, before smashing the van's wing mirror.
He drove off in the direction of Faringdon in a lorry which had Flatlight Ltd, Chippenham, written on the side.
The lorry driver is described as white, of medium build, with very short hair. He was wearing blue jeans, a cream T-shirt and had tattoos on both arms.
Pc Simon Jenkin said: "At the time of the confrontation there were several people that could have witnessed the incident and I urge anyone with information to contact me."
