Dozens of cancer survivors are joining a 24-hour endurance walk at the weekend to send a message of hope to fellow victims.
The Relay for Life event in Witney will see hundreds of volunteers aiming to raise £50,000 for Cancer Research UK.
The walk kicks off on Saturday at 12.30pm with a launch by 40 cancer survivors and a display by the Royal Air Force Falcons Parachute Display Team.
Paul Currah, 43, who has had testicular cancer twice, will be taking part.
Mr Currah, from Witney, said: "As well as celebrating my own life - and with luck offering hope to others - I also want to remember my mother who died from cancer two years ago, as well as several friends who are living with cancer now."
The Relay For Life will take place at West Witney Sports Field in Burford Road.
Entry is free and during the weekend people can enjoy live music, a hog roast, a Mad Hatter's Tea Party and craft and information stalls.
Relay for Life committee chairman, Squadron Leader Barry Jessel, who is based at RAF Brize Norton, said: "The response from people wishing to participate in this 24-hour event has been tremendous."
