The blaze occurred on the River Thames close to Tadpole Bridge in Bampton, near Witney on June 10.
Fuel on board the boat ignited at around 7.30pm which threw Dean and Marcus off the vessel into the river.
Two other people escaped with minor injuries and are recovering at home.
The fire service, ambulance service and air ambulance service all attended the incident.
A spokesperson for Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue said: "Although the actual scene was a short distance down the river from the bridge, crews were able to access the area using 4x4's, assess the casualties and bring them to safety."
A GoFundMe page has since been set up to support the families of Dean and Marcus while they are recovering from the fire which has raised around £2,000 so far.

According to the page, both Dean and Marcus are self employed but are likely to be in hospital for quite some time and unable to work.
The total funds will be split between the two families.
