Authorities said at 10.30am on Wednesday that the driver of the vehicle, an 18-year-old man, remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver has been named locally as Tom with the other three victims named as Elliot, Daniel and Ethan.
Thames Valley Police has released a statement from the family of Elliot Pullen on Wednesday afternoon.
He is described by the family as "our gorgeous, bright and talented son, a dearly loved brother, grandson, nephew, and cousin".
The four were believed to be friends driving home when the car left the road.
First pictures of the boys have been left outside Abingdon and Witney College, where two of the boys went to school.
One of the floral tributes laid at the scene roadside had a message stating "RIP Ethan. You'll be missed by everyone”.
Another tribute attached to flowers at the scene said: "RIP. You will be forever missed boys."
Members of the public leaving flowers told an Oxford Mail reporter they were also paying their respects to the driver, Tom.
One 19-year-old from Wantage who knows Tom told the Oxford Mail: "He's a very genuine lad who is known by everyone.
"We have always known him to be the life of the party."
Tributes have also been paid in our book of condolences to the boys.
Sam Wilkins said: “Rest in peace. The memories of you all at John Blandy and Faringdon Community College will be forever cherished, God bless your souls, rest peacefully for eternity.”
Public tributes have also been made to one of the teenagers who goes by the nickname Chubz.
Rosie Hopcroft said: “Chubz, I never got to tell you I loved you more than just a friend. I miss your silly outfits and your overprotective side.
"You wouldn’t let anyone say a bad word about me."
As tributes were being left roadside police officers closed the road yesterday evening for further investigations into the crash.
Thames Valley Police has said the road will remain closed for several hours as investigations continue.
The force has appealed to anyone who witnessed this incident or may have dash cam footage prior to the collision to get in touch.
The families of the teenagers have been notified and are being supported by specially trained officers.
Sergeant Matt Cadmore of the Joint Roads Policing Unit at Three Mile Cross said: “This is an extremely tragic incident which has resulted in the death of three young men.
“Our thoughts remain with their families and friends at this extremely difficult time.”
Anyone with information is urged to call 101 or make a report online to Thames Valley Police quoting the incident number 43230270542.
