More than 15,000 attended a popular motoring and classic plane event that returned at the weekend for the first time after a five-year hiatus.
Bicester Heritage’s flagship event Flywheel was held at the former WW2 RAF bomber base over Saturday and Sunday on June 17 and 18.
Exactly 79 years to the day since a Bristol Blenheim bomber last flew out of RAF Bicester in active service, the event saw the only surviving aircraft will up in the skies once again over the weekend.
Guests enjoyed a host of classic cars taking to the tracks as well as historic aircraft gracing the site’s grass airfield including a Spitfire.

There were also 80 marques covering over 120 years of motoring, a technical site where 50 businesses met with guests as well as an arts and design workshop in the hangar.
Taking to social media, Bicester Heritage said: “And that's a wrap. Thank you for helping us to celebrate our ten-year anniversary in impeccable style.
“We've loved welcoming you back to our former RAF bomber base - which has had a slight makeover during the course of the weekend.”
Bicester Heritage’s 10-year anniversary was also celebrated at the motoring event.
Founded in 2013, Bicester Heritage is a business park dedicated to historic motoring.
The business park, based on the former RAF Bicester site, now has over 45 specialist businesses.
