Father’s Day is fast approaching and this year it falls on Sunday, June 18.

If you are stuck for ideas on how to celebrate, you have come to the right place.

We have put together a list of five suggestions on how you could treat Dad this Father’s Day in Oxfordshire.

Take Dad on a trip on the trains at Didcot Railway Centre

Didcot Railway Centre is hosting a special event for Father’s Day this year.

The Railway Centre will take you on a journey back in time to the golden age of the Great Western Railway.

In addition to the usual attractions, their Father’s Day Special feature includes early entry, a full English breakfast and a guided tour of the site.

Steam trains will be operating on both of the centre’s demonstration lines during the day.

Didcot Railway Centre is home to an engine shed dating back to 1932 and a range of preserved locomotives.

Explore the countryside at White Horse Hill

For Dads that enjoy the outdoors, adventuring up White Horse Hill in Uffington would make for the perfect Father’s Day.

The White Horse is located on an ancient stretch of the Ridgeway and it can be seen from miles away.

It dates back to the Bronze-Age.

The horse is only part of the unique complex of ancient remains that are found at White Horse Hill and beyond.

Have fun at Cogges Manor Farm

Cogges is a unique historic farm located in the heart of Witney.

It is home to a beautiful manor house and 17 acres of open space to enjoy.

This weekend they are hosting their annual Summer Fete.

Oxford Mail:

There will be fun family games and falconry displays on the Sunday.

Visitors will also be able to explore the manor house and other farm buildings.

Usual farm admission applies.

Book a Hook Norton brewery tour

Hook Norton Brewery can be found in the heart of the Cotswold Hills landscape.

It is an independent brewery, run as a family business.

Oxford Mail:

The brewery is home to a Victorian Tour Brewery that you can explore on the tour.

The tour takes approximately one and a half hours and ends with a tasting session in the cellar bar.

Check out the Inspector Morse tour of Oxford!

Is your Dad a Morse fan?

If so, take him on a wander around Oxford or you could even try the city’s Official Inspector Morse, Lewis and Endeavour walking tour.

The tour takes around two hours and you will learn stories about the city’s most famous detectives.

You will also stop at famous landmarks such as Broad Street, the White Horse pub and the Randolph Hotel.
