A pub must make major improvements in its hygiene standards after it was given a 1 rating by the Food Standards Agency.
The Bird in Hand on Peppard Road in Sonning Common near Reading was inspected on May 11.
Food safety officers reported major improvement was necessary in management of food safety, improvements were required in hygienic food handling but cleanliness and condition of facilities and building were generally satisfactory.

Two other South Oxfordshire establishments have also been given new ratings, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
One of Henley's oldest coaching inns The Row Barge at 37 West Street, was rated 4 on May 11.
And the White Horse Inn at Wheatley Road, Forest Hill, Oxford, a pub serving English and Thai food, was also rated 4 on May 11.
It means that of South Oxfordshire's 275 similar establishments with ratings, 136 (49 per cent) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
