CHRISTIAN BISHOP, 32, of Druce Way, Oxford, pleaded guilty to damaging a silver BMW 520D on October 13 last year. He was given a community order with a drug rehabilitation requirement and must pay £500 in compensation.

LUKE JARVIS, 33, of Midget Close, Abingdon, admitted drink driving a Peugeot 308 on Tamar Way, Didcot, and driving it without a valid licence or insurance. Tests showed he had 138mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath, almost four times the legal limit. He was given 12 weeks’ imprisonment suspended for a year and was banned from the roads for 32 months. He must pay £85 in costs and a £154 victim surcharge.

DANIEL TRIGGS, 32, of Regent Gardens, Didcot, admitted drink driving a Ford Fiesta on Loyd Road, Didcot, and failing to stop at the scene of an accident after he crashed into a lamp post. Both incidents took place on October 22. Blood tests taken after he was arrested showed he was around one-and-a-half times the legal drink driving limit. He was fined £600 and banned from driving for 17 months. The magistrates ordered he pay a £214 victim surcharge and £85 in prosecution costs.

SAMANTHA PRIOR, 46, of Botley Road, Oxford, admitted assaulting a man at Waitrose in Headington and stealing from the same store on the previous day in May. She was ordered to pay a total of £205 in compensation, fined £120 and banned from Waitrose for six months.

SHAHEDA RAHMAN, 40, of Swinburne Road, Oxford, admitted driving a VW Golf carelessly on Cowley Road with the junction of Chapel Street on October 14 last year. The bench imposed four penalty points, a £40 fine and ordered the payment of £101 in costs and surcharge.

ALEX PIDSLEY, 27, of Cogges Lane, Stanton Harcourt, admitted driving an Audi A4 on Apley Way, Witney, last November while over the legal drug limit for cocaine, benzoylecgonine and cannabis. Pidsley also pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine and cannabis. The bench imposed £360 in fines and a 20 month driving ban.

ADAM FERNANDO, 39, of Huxley Close, Wootton, pleaded guilty to drink driving a Vauxhall Corsa on Boars Hill on December 16. Tests showed Fernando was more than twice the legal limit, blowing 77mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35. He was fined £400, banned from driving for 21 months and ordered to pay £245 in costs and surcharge.

MARCIN NAJMANOWECZ, 30, of Thorney Leys, Witney, pleaded guilty to failing to stop at the scene of a crash, driving without insurance and failing to provide a specimen of blood for analysis. On May 6, he was driving a blue Audi A2 on Ducklington Lane, Witney, when he struck a Nissan X-Trail and failed to stop at the scene. The bench imposed 12 weeks’ imprisonment suspended for a year, saying the defendant had a ‘flagrant disregard for people and their property’. He was banned from driving for 40 months and ordered to pay £239 in costs and surcharge.

SONIA RAJ, 38, of Luther Street, Oxford, was found guilty of stealing a bag in Headington in July 2021.She was ordered to pay £90 in compensation and received a community order with a mental health treatment requirement. She must pay £200 in costs to the CPS.
