Afghan and Ukrainian refugees who have settled in the Bicester area will be showcasing their skills and abilities at a special stall on Bicester Market.

The event promises to bring some original crafts, clothes and bags to the town centre and is an opportunity for Bicester residents to learn more about Afghan and Ukrainian traditions and culture.

The project is the result of collaboration between Bicester Market, Bicester Ukrainian Support Group, the Churches in Bicester Refugee Support Group, Cherwell District Council’s community development team and other members of the Bicester community.

The stall will be running for the first time on Friday 23 June and the organisers plan to make it a monthly occurrence, with the intention of helping the new arrivals develop their confidence and business skills and promoting community cohesion.
