Well done, the Irish, for voting 'no' to the EU treaty/constitution in the referendum they were allowed to have.
All the west of Ireland was against it as people there are being stopped from earning a living because of EU directives.
They are not allowed to cut the bog turf, even on their own land, which they have been doing for centuries.
They are not allowed to graze flocks of sheep on the hillsides as they have done for centuries - they are allowed one sheep for every two or three acres.
The hospitals are taken over by migrant labour, including catering and cleansing.
Even the young Irish are denied holiday jobs in hotels and shops as they have always done because of cheap labour from Europe.
Many native Irish folk are out of work in the west.
Ireland is a smaller country than the UK. But it won't be many years before we feel the full effects by the rules and regulations imposed on us by Brussels.
When will those thickheaded, unelected faceless bureaucrats who dare to preside over billions of folk in Europe, including us, get the message that no-one wants the constitution/treaty and all it entails?
It was said that if one country rejects the constitution/treaty, it would be torn up, but the current president of the EU says they will still pursue it - after all, 18 of the 27 states have signed up for it.
But that is the wish of the governments of those states, not the people.
Gordon Brown is one of those 18 and he has betrayed the British people with his U-turn on allowing us a referendum.
If democracy counted for anything, all 27 states should be allowed a referendum and then we can bury this constitution/treaty for good and sideline those who wish to govern half the world, those who are unelected and dare to dictate to the rest of us, and those who are corrupt and live the life of Riley while the rest of us pay for it.
The accounts for this select club have never been signed off.
If we were allowed a referendum, it would be a resounding 'no'. That is why Gordon Brown refused us, so he would not lose face in Europe.
One consolation, it delays the arrest and imprisonment of Tony Anchors, me, and many others who have dared to speak up through letters to the editor. Rule Britannia.
