A planning application has been submitted to build a 5G mast in the centre of an Oxfordshire town.
The 15 metre pole would be located on Leach Road in the Kings End area of Bicester.
5G is a wireless technology that was first introdcued in 2019 and is a signifanctly faster upgrade of its forefunner 4G.

But some concerns have been raised about health risks associated with the technology.
The proposed site is currently a grassy area and there is an exisitng 5 metre high street light.
The application has been submitted by Cignal Infrastructure UK but the 5G mast would be operated by Three.
The plans were received by Cherwell District Council on June 8 and a target decision date has been set as June 30.
