At around 7am Oxon Travel, which provides travel and transport updates for Oxfordshire County Council, said: "The traffic lights at the junction of the B4150 Marsh Lane and the B4495 Cherwell Drive Oxford are not working due to a power outage in the area.
"Expect lengthy delays and seek an alternative route if possible"
An AA update said: "Queueing traffic due to traffic signal failure on B4150 Marston Road near BP petrol station."
Eyewitness Denise Moss said: "These lights were out yesterday at 11am and was chaos then and still out at 6pm. Imagine the traffic now on a Monday morning."
An Oxford Mail reader said: "Yet more traffic lights failing. That is more so far this year than I recall seeing before.
"Is there a maintenance issue? Has safety been put at risk due to cuts?"
