An Albanian man caught in a property with 120 cannabis plants has accepted ‘farming’ the herbaceous narcotic.
Erald Kuqi, 24, who entered the UK illegally, was arrested by police in Didcot on April 27, when officers found 120 cannabis plants spread across three rooms.
Appearing before Oxford Crown Court on Thursday (June 8), Kuqi, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to a single charge of being concerned in the production of a class B drug.
Alice Aubrey-Fletcher, prosecuting, indicated that the Crown Prosecution Service accepted that although the drugs operation in which Kuqi was involved was a commercial enterprise, the defendant was playing a lesser role.
He had no previous convictions.
Judge Maria Lamb remanded Kuqi in custody until June 16, when he is expected to receive a prison sentence.
