Two schools in Witney are closed today (June 7) due to a power outage.
Springfield School on Cedar Drive and Wood Green School (WGS) on The Crescent have reported emergency closures.
Around four postcodes in the Witney area are currently without power.

According to Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks the power cut was unplanned and was first reported at 10:09am.
WGS is partially closed today (Weds 7th June) due to a power outage. We are only open for students who are taking exams. We will keep parents/carers updated throughout the day.

Wood Green School is a comprehensive secondary school.
The school tweeted: “WGS is partially closed today due to a power outage.
“We are only open for students who are taking exams.
“We will keep parents/carers updated throughout the day.”
They have told students with exams to report to the school as normal and that buses will be running.
Springfield School is a school for children with special educational needs.
The school is closed to all pupils.
