A prisoner climbed onto the roof of HMP Bullingdon near Bicester and refused to get down for several hours.
The man scaled a wall to gain access to the rooftop during the incident yesterday (June 6).
The Oxford Mail received reports of the inmate on the roof by resident, Sonia Coombes at around 5:15pm.

The Department for Justice confirmed that the prisoner surrendered to staff shortly after 7:30pm.
They added that there was no risk of escape or danger to the public.
A prison service spokesperson said: “Staff safely resolved this incident and the prisoner will face punishment as disorder in prisons is not tolerated.”
