A former Oxford United goalkeeper has been found dead in Manchester.
Tim Carter played 17 times for the U's in 1995, keeping six clean sheets.
He represented Sunderland 50 times and also played for Hartlepool, Millwall, Halifax and Bristol Rovers.
The BBC reported that Mr Carter, 40, was found in bushes by a passer-by in Highfield Close, Stretford, Greater Manchester, on Friday.
Greater Manchester Police said they were not treating his death as suspicious.
