Two teenagers admitted stealing a crate of beer each from a supermarket after drinking with their friends in Witney.
During a hearing at Oxford Youth Court the youngsters, who cannot be named but are both 16, each stole beer worth £9.99 from the Co-op store in Madley Park on June 4.
Harry Schimanski, chairman of the magistrates, gave the first boy a three-month referral order to the youth offending team and ordered him to pay £35 costs.
The second teenager, who had a previous conviction for theft and was in breach of a conditional discharge, was handed a three-month action plan order.
