A film made by north Oxfordshire college students about the dangers of becoming homeless is set for its premiere.
The screening will launch a fortnight of events aimed at keeping families together and is part of Cherwell District Council's No Place Like Home initiative.
Young people from schools and youth clubs across the district will show art work as part of a competition run by the council.
A series of family workshops aimed at keeping families talking and together will also be held in Banbury, Bicester and Kidlington.
Michael Gibbard, the council's executive member for planning and housing, said: "This campaign offers the whole family support and guidance in tackling typical parent and teenage issues. We want to strengthen family ties and so prevent youth homelessness."
Oxford & Cherwell Valley College students made the 30-minute film, which tells the stories of three families and how they are affected by homelessness.
It will be premiered at the Cricket Pavilion, at Banbury Cricket Club, in Bodicote, on Tuesday, July 1.
A DVD version of the film will be included in an education resource pack for schools and youth clubs in Oxfordshire.
- The family workshops are at Kidlington Methodist Church on July 5, from 8.30am to 11.30am; the People's Church, Banbury, on July 11, from 6.30pm to 9.30pm; and at Bicester Methodist Church, on July 12, from 8.30am to 11.30am. To book a place, call Helen Town on 07816 542464.
- The young people's artwork will be on display at Exeter Hall, Kidlington, on July 4; the Courtyard, Bicester, on July 9; and St Mary's Church, Banbury, on July 10, all starting at 7pm.
