An injured deer stuck on an A-road was rescued by police in tandem with a wildlife rescue service.
Police came to the rescue of an injured deer on the A34 near Abingdon yesterday morning, after it was struck by a car and became stranded in the central reservation.

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “With the assistance of Oxfordshire Wildlife Rescue, the deer was safely removed from the A34 and transported to their wildlife hospital where they will hopefully treat it and release it back into the wild.
“We apologise for any delays this may have caused, but the injured animal needed to be saved.”
