Ben Stockwell took a hat-trick in a haul of 4-5 as Abingdon brushed aside Bicester by seven wickets in the Daily Telegraph Twenty20 Under 15 Cup semi-final.

Stockwell's stunning spell sent Bicester crashing to 40, and Abingdon then coasted to 46-3.

With Warriner (Bloxham), the other semi-final winners, unable to play the final on the set date, Abingdon were declared Oxon champions.

They now go forward to represent the county in the national competition.

In their semi-final, Harry Smith hit an unbeaten 67 as Warriner beat local rivals Bloxham by 43 runs.

He took Warriner to 117-6, before Bloxham were restricted to 74-6, with Phil Fox taking 2-14 and Smith 2-16.

Abingdon had further success in the Oxfordshire Under 13 Cup, overwhelming Wheatley Park, who were rolled over for just 15.

Charlie Roberts (4-1) and Sasha Barras (4-3) did the damage, before Abingdon lost one wicket in reaching the target.

Warriner are looking strong in the Lord's Taverners Under 14 Trophy.

Dismissing Bartholomew (Eynsham) for 70, they cruised to 71-1 in reply, and now face Burford in the semi-finals after they beat Banbury by five runs in a rain-affected game.

Burford were restricted to Burford 74 all out, despite 28 from Ross Barrett.

Banbury fell shot on 66-9, with Tim Lowe conceding just three runs from his five overs while taking one wicket.

St Birinus (Didcot) are the first team to qualify for the Oxfordshire Under 13 League quarter-finals.

In their latest game, Shaun Stewart (29no) and Joe Butcher (23no) led St Birinus to a ten-wicket win over Larkmead (Abingdon), who were held to 67-5.
