An inquest will be heard today into the death of a man found in his car in the central reservation of the M40.  

Sedji Sejdiu’s black Vauxhall Astra was discovered in vegetation between junctions 11 and 12 of the motorway on April 12 last year.

But police believe that the crash happened around a week earlier.

The cause of the 40-year-old plasterer's death following a post-mortem was given as 'multiple injuries'.

Summarising a police report Coroner Darren Salter said at the inquest opening: “Due to the density of the trees and speed of traffic the vehicle nor the deceased were not visible until they were sighted by slow-moving traffic.

Highways officers arrived at the scene before the police officers.

They found Mr Sejdiu’s body, the Astra, together with a number of ‘personal items’.

The victim was identified to the police by family members at the John Radcliffe Hospital on April 20 last year. 

The inquest opening heard that crash investigators did not believe there were suspicious circumstances. 

Mr Sejdiu was born in Kosovo and prior to his death lived in Walterton Road, London.
