As May draws to a close and the bank holiday comes around, the Met Office has predicted a very warm end to the month.
There has been a lot of speculation as to whether a heatwave will hit during May’s final bank holiday weekend.
The Met Office’s latest predictions suggest the weekend will be very warm.

For Wednesday, temperatures will reach a maximum of 20C and the sun will be shining throughout the day.
Wednesday will start off with temperatures at around 14C at 10am but this will quickly rise to 20C by 3pm.
Wednesday evening will also be particularly warm, with temperatures remaining at 18C at 8pm.

On Thursday, it is predicted there will be less sunshine and more cloud but temperatures are still expected to reach a maximum of 19C.
The Met Office has forecasted that on Friday temperatures will slip, with a maximum of 18C being reached.

However, it will remain sunny throughout the day.
On Saturday and Sunday, higher temperatures will return once again, with temperatures set to reach a maximum of 19C and 20C on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
For the Monday bank holiday, temperatures will be slightly lower, with a maximum temperature of 18C set to be recorded.
However, there will still be sunny intervals throughout the day and there will be more cloud in the afternoon.
