A bungling career crook has been jailed for his latest hapless theft.
Terry Marshall, 42, of Taunton Road, Bridgwater, stole a Porsche Panamera car during a burglary of a house on Oxford Road, Woodstock, on April 17.
The vehicle was parked up around the corner, where it was later recovered by police officers called out after the thief triggered the homeowner’s CCTV-enabled doorbell system.
He was jailed for 876 days on Friday (May 19) after pleading guilty at Oxford Crown Court to burglary.
The sentence represents the three year mandatory minimum term given to ‘third strike’ house burglars, less a fifth discount for his early guilty plea.
