Plans have been submitted to build a swimming pool, pool house, gym, and tennis court within the grounds of a Grade II listed home.
The proposals are for Cross Hill House, a large house that is dated primarily to the mid-18th century in the village of Adderbury.
The design will neighbour a curtilage-listed garden wall on the site with annexe accommodation built on the ground floor between the gym and the pool house.

Following pre-application advice from Historic England in April, previous designs have been revised with a significant reduction to the height of the gym range and to the width and height of the main pool house.
The scale of the annexe accommodation was reduced and moved to the ground floor level, reducing the size proposed buildings.
The new application shows that the gym range is now largely concealed by the existing garden wall.
Historic England said: “Following our comments on the recently withdrawn planning applications and subsequent discussions onsite, we welcome to amended proposals now presented.
“As discussed, Historic England’s principal concern has been the need for the mass and form of the proposed building to better respect the setting of Cross Hill House
“In our view the amended proposals have successfully addressed our previous concerns.”
The property was listed for sale in 2017 at £4.25 million in 2017, then re-launched in 2019 at a guide price of £3.45 million.
