A dead body was discovered on the railway tracks between Didcot Parkway and London Paddington yesterday (May 16).
British Transport Police officers and paramedics were called to the line near Pangbourne station at 5.26pm to reports of a casualty on the tracks
A person was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesman for the transport police said: “This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
All lines between Didcot and the London station were blocked while emergency services dealt with the incident and disruption lasted until around 7pm.
Some passengers travelling towards Didcot were evacuated from the train at Reading Station.

Others who were on the 4.54pm train from Cardiff to Paddington were handed water while they waited for the disruption to clear.
