Concern has been raised that nine new houses proposed in southern Oxfordshire would cause "distress" to residents of a nearby care home.
Developer Christchurch Homes plans to construct the homes off Didcot Road, between Didcot and Harwell, on land adjacent to the Alma Barn Lodge Care Home.
The three-story care home was only opened in December 2021 by Advinia Health Care.

In the public consultation for the plans, a villager in Harwell has complained that the homes could obscure the view of care home residents and increase traffic on the main road.
The woman, who is named as Amelia on the planning portal, said: “The road is already small with little traffic allowing for the care home to take full capacity and allow for peaceful and quiet views with little disruption to those there.
“Is housing really appropriate so close to a nursing home?
"It also then means the houses will obstruct their view and an increase in traffic and works may also cause distress to them.”

The proposed housing development would feature a range of two and three-bedroom homes arranged in two rows of terraced housing split by a proposed road.
A spokesman for the developers said: “This is a very well-considered scheme.
"It complies with all the relevant planning policies and the separation distances of the proposed houses with the care home are more than sufficient.
“The houses are also set away from the primary outlook of the care home.
"If planning permission is granted, Christchurch Homes is very much looking forward to bringing this to the market.”
