A determined angler reeled in a whopper of a carp narrowly missing his personal best.
Leigh Price caught the common carp weighing 35lb 2oz over the coronation bank holiday weekend.
He was with a mate Darren during a ‘session’ at Home Pond at Chad Lakes.
Mr Price had an obligatory photograph taken with the fish before returning it to the lake safe and well.

A spokesperson said: “It was 1lb shy of his personal best."
But he added although the carp was one of the largest it was not a record for Chad Lakes.
The biggest ever carp caught in the UK weighed 68lb 1oz.
The fishery near Chipping Norton runs a catch and release fishing scheme where several impressive specimens have been banked.

In April James caught a 'chunky' mirror carp which at 28lb 7oz fish, which was a personal best.
The fish, which are named because of their scales' resemblance to mirrors, can grow in excess of 60lb (27 kg).
The last few British record fish have all been mirror carp.
In January determined angler Malcolm Tuckwell reeled in a 23lb fish at Chad Lakes after waiting patiently for 24 hours in the rain.
