There was another major incident at Campsfield House Detention Centre in Kidlington during the early hours today.
Thames Valley Police have confirmed that officers were called to the centre in Langford Lane, at 3.45am.
There are unconfirmed reports that five detainees escaped from the centre during the disturbance.
Police spokesman David Paull added: "I can confirm that our officers are still at Campsfield House. A more detailed statement will be released shortly."
The suspected breakout follows an incident at the controversial centre at the weekend, the fourth major disturbance in 16 months.
Fires were started inside the centre at 2pm on Saturday and it is understood that 20 detainees staged a rooftop protest.
In August last year, 26 detainees broke out of the centre, prompting a manhunt.
Some of the men who escaped hid in residents' gardens in nearby Evenlode Crescent, prompting calls for the centre to be closed down.
