Thames Valley Police's deputy chief constable is leaving the force to become Hampshire's new chief constable.
Alex Marshall, 46, was made assistant chief constable of Thames Valley in August 2004, then became acting deputy chief constable in January 2006, before taking the role of deputy chief constable in May 2007.
