Blenheim Palace is celebrating the coronation with a Picnic on the Lawn.
If you don't want to take your own basket, there will Coronation-themed, afternoon tea picnic boxes with a glass of English sparkling wine available to buy on the day at the Nyetimber bar.
In addition to live music from The Storyville Strutters, picnic goers will be joined by esteemed guest ‘Winstan’, a Sir Winston Churchill impressionist.
Blenheim Palace is currently highlighting its royal links in its latest exhibition: Royal Connections, Crowns and Coronets which explains the enduring relationship between the Marlboroughs and the monarchy.
It contains previously unseen items including the newly-restored crown, originally worn by Queen Anne as well as her throne and stool among other significant artefacts.
Fans of Bridgerton and The Crown may also spot never before seen Regency-inspired costumes including an interpretation of Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation dress worn by actress Claire Foy.
The palace also has a new restaurant, Clementine’s on the Lawn, where you can buy locally made treats including sandwiches, cakes, and drinks while being entertained by a live jazz band.
The picnic is also an opportunity to donate items to Blenheim Palace’s Food Donation Station as part of The Big Help Out taking place nationwide on Monday.
The Coronation Picnic on the Lawn is on the South Lawn of Blenheim Palace, Bank Holiday Monday May 8
