A man arrested following a road accident near Bicester was tonight being interviewed by police officers.
The 55-year-old was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop at a road traffic accident, driving while disqualified, driving with excess alcohol and dangerous driving after his green Volvo hit a lamppost on the A41 near Junction 9 of the M40 at Wendlebury.
The rider of a blue-and-white Suzuki GSXR 600 motorbike, who collided with a crash barrier in the incident at 7.30am, was taken to Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.
Both vehicles were travelling northbound before they left the road, a Thames Valley Police spokesman said, and the road was closed.
