Police have charged six youths in connection with two kidnapping incidents in Oxford.
On December, 16, 2007, a 16-year-old boy was kidnapped from Rymers Lane, Cowley. Then on March 17, 2008, an 18-year-old man was kidnapped from Oxford Road, Cowley. In both cases they were assaulted, leaving them with minor injuries, and released soon after.
The following have each been charged with two counts of kidnap: Ameen Mohammed, 18, of Tawney Street, Oxford; Haroon Mohammed, 19, of Golden Road, Oxford and a 16-year-old boy and two 17-year-old boys, all from Oxford, who cannot be named.
Saqab Dogar, 18, of Tawney Street, Oxford, has been charged with one count of kidnap only, in relation to the incident in Rymers Lane on December 16.
They were all appearing at Oxford Magistrates' Court today.
