An ‘altercation’ in Blackbird Leys followed reports of a car colliding with a child, police have clarified.
Officers were called to Balfour Road just after 3.10pm on Wednesday, May 3.

A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: “There were reports of a vehicle being in collision with a child and following this, an altercation occurred.” The child suffered minor injuries and did not need hospital treatment, he added.
A 22-year-old woman from Chinnor, understood to be the driver of the VW Golf, has been arrested on suspicion of common assault and possession of cannabis.
An Oxford man, 20, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article in a public place.
Both remain in custody, police said.
