A traditional pub must make improvements to its hygiene standards following an inspection.
The Green Tree at St Leonards Square, Wallingford, was given a score of two on March 28, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
Giving a five-star review on Trip Advisor, a happy customer described the pub as 'a hidden gem of Wallingford', 'a quaint drinking establishment' and full of 'colourful characters and good old British fun'.
Meanwhile The Coachmakers Arms at 37 St Marys Street, Wallingford, was handed a four-out-of-five rating after an assessment on March 28.
This means hygiene standards are good.
The pub in a former coach house has bed and breakfast rooms and a restaurant, plus a beer garden.
It has 22 'excellent' reviews out of 32 on Trip Advisor.
