A West Oxfordshire takeaway has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.
Marks Kitchen, a takeaway at The Old Bakery, Rosemary Lane, Bampton, was given the score after assessment on March 22, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.
To be awarded a 4 or 5 rating you must be able to demonstrate a very high standard of food safety management and be compliant with food hygiene legislation.
The takeaway in Bampton Market Square has 7 'excellent' reviews on Trip Advisor with one happy customer writing in July 2022: "Love Mark's Kitchen, food is absolutely lovely and the lady who serves is wonderful which there was more than 5 stars!!!"
However, another reviewer was less than impressed with their Duck Cantonese.
They wrote: "It was unequivocally the worst takeaway dish I have ever had."
It means that of West Oxfordshire's 64 takeaways with ratings, 47 have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
