An affectionate Foxhound cross is looking for a new home away from the city.
Battersea Dogs & Cats Home is looking for a home for a three year old Foxhound Cross called Pumpkin.
The housetrained and sociable dog is currently living at the Battersea Dogs Home Old Windsor centre and has now spent nearly 200 days at the charity’s centre.
Pumpkin first came into the charity’s care as a heavily pregnant stray and she gave birth to a litter of puppies.
All of Pumpkin’s puppies quickly found new families but she is still waiting for a match.
Hannah Gee, Dog Rehoming Team Leader at Battersea Old Windsor, said: “Pumpkin is a sweet and young lady who is looking for active owners who can keep up with her lively ways.
“She loves going on long walks where she can explore plenty of new smells and splash around in puddles.”
“Pumpkin is a sensitive soul and can take some time to get used to new people, so is looking for patient owners who can help her come out of her shell in a relaxing environment.
“Once Pumpkin gets to know you, she’ll be your friend for life and will really let out her playful side.”
The ideal owners for Pumpkin would have previous breed experience and because she’s a country girl she would benefit from having access to plenty of calm walking routes away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Pumpkin can live with other dogs but not with any cats.
In the past, the dog has spent very short periods of time on her own but in a new home this time away from the dog would have to be gradually built up.
Pumpkin loves a play and chase game and is now looking for a new home out in the countryside.
If Pumpkin is the new family member you are looking for, then you can visit the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home rehoming webpage.
