A famous Oxford hotel will be serving up an extra special Coronation afternoon tea to mark King Charles III’s ascension to the throne.
Chefs at The Alice at The Randolph Hotel will be dishing up a number of teatime treats inspired by the current King.
The Coronation will take place on Saturday, May 6.

Guests at The Randolph will enjoy a glass of Champagne and canapes on arrival.
There will also be music from a live pianist playing a mixture of chart hits and loved classics.
The tea will take place in The Randolph’s Lancaster Room.
Guests are invited to arrive from 11.30am and tea will be served from mid-afternoon.
The Coronation afternoon tea menu offers a selection of sandwiches including Coronation chicken with watercress, free-range egg with saffron mayo & rocket and Smoked salmon with horseradish & black pepper, alongside the King Charles wild mushroom tart.
These will be followed by freshly baked plain and fruit scones, complemented by strawberry preserve and clotted cream and cakes of Elderflower & strawberry Victoria sponge, maids of honour tart, raspberry & pistachio Battenberg and a chocolate royale mousse cake.
For the day of the Coronation prices will be from £69 per person.
The Coronation tea will also be available for the rest of May priced at £39 per person or £49 per person with a class of Champagne.
