With sunshine forecast for next week and less wind, the Oxford Mail has drawn up a comprehensive list of the best beer gardens in Oxford according to Google reviewers.
The Gardeners Arms
Location: 39 Plantation Road, OX2 6JE
This Oxford pub has been around for over 200 years and is one of the few pubs which only serves vegan and vegetarian food.
The beer garden has seating which is under cover in case rain showers fall unexpectedly.
The pub also hosts a quiz night every Sunday evening at 8.30pm and there are five rounds to the quiz.

In the week, the pub is open till 10.30pm and half an hour later on Friday, 11pm, so it could be the ideal place to go for an after work drink.
Google reviewer Luke Dawson described the beer garden as “lovely” and said they had a “great selection of beers on tap”.
Another reviewer, Boyan Dimitrov echoed Luke’s sentiment and praised the “good beer selection”.
The Rose & Crown
Location: 4 N Parade Ave, OX2 6LX
This pub was founded in 1863 and is popular with university students.
The pub regularly hosts jazz nights, and it has a wide range of beers available.
The real ales on offer include Adnams 'Southwold', Hook Norton ‘Old Hooky’ and Oxford Brewery ‘Shotover Trinity’.
In addition to ales, the pub sells a local bitter from the Oxford brewery called Hoptric.

Visitors to the pub have said the beer garden is an ideal place to soak up the sun.
Google reviewer Kim Titmarsh said the garden was a “real sun trap”, whilst another reviewer called Robyn Cuthell said the “lovely little pub” had a “great garden”.
Amy Souster, another reviewer, said that when visiting the best thing about the pub was the “super atmosphere” and “fab beer garden”.
It certainly seems to be popular with Google reviewers.
Turf Tavern
Location: 4 Bath Place, OX1 3SU
If you’re looking for a pub which has previously had A-list celebrities visit and has plenty of space to sit and enjoy a pint outside, then this may be your pick.
Past visitors to the pub have included former prime ministers Boris Johnson and David Cameron, and President Bill Clinton.
The pub is a favourite amongst University of Oxford students so at times it can be very busy.

Google reviewer Leon Grundmann said the beer garden was an “excellent place to have a pub lunch” and said the pub was both “reasonably priced” and had a “nice beer garden”.
Another reviewer, Tasha Nicholson, described the garden as “cute and tucked away”.
The Victoria
Location: 90 Walton St, OX2 6EB
This pub is at the heart of Jericho and has a fairly large beer garden.
Yesterday, the pub encouraged customers to flock to its beer garden to enjoy the sunshine.
Posting on their Facebook account, their message said: “The sun is oozing through the clouds. Enjoy it while you can!! Get yourself down to our beer garden ASAP for a nice pint and a dram of whisky!”
The pub has seating both outside on the front terrace and has a beer garden to the rear of the pub.

Google reviewer Chris Weatherburn praised the pub’s “friendly staff” and said the garden was “great”.
Another reviewer commented that the garden was “jasmine scented”, whilst reviewer Ashley Griffiths described the pub as “super quirky” but “traditional on the inside”.
The Marsh Harrier
Location: 40 Marsh Rd, OX4 2HH
This pub is in the heart of Cowley and can be relied upon to serve a selection of pub classics.
On their website, the beer garden is described as providing an “oasis of calm in busy Cowley” and is said to be a “real gem on a summer’s day”.
The pub is open until 9pm every day of the week except Sunday and there is also a covered smoking area outside.

Reviewers agree that the beer garden is a good experience, as Sandra Gloyne described the garden as “lovely” and reviewer Philip Bunce said it was “nice”.
The Head of the River
Location: Folly Bridge, St Aldate's, OX1 4LB
This pub sits besides Oxford’s scenic River Isis.
The outdoor seating gives you a perfect view of the river when the sun is shining and the pub is also dog friendly.
The pub is open late into the evening, with a closing time of 11pm every day, except for on Sunday when the closing time is 10pm.

The Fuller’s pub serves a wide selection of craft beers and pub food classics, including a Chalcroft farm beef burger and beer battered haddock.
Google reviewer H Carey said the pub had a “really nice beer garden on the canal”.
Another reviewer, Duncan Buchanan, recently said the beer garden was “magic on a sunny April day”.
