Barry Stratford hit two maximum 180s as Premier Division side Railway hit back to win 6-3 at Section 1 outfit Rose Hill Community Centre.

Rose Hill took a shock lead when Darren Allen defeated Olly Varney, but they recovered to take a 2-1 advantage thanks to wins from Stratford and Roger Haines.

But the hosts did not give up, with Justin Barrett levelling with a win against Steve Foster.

Ady Larner restored Railway's lead when he got the better of Jason Taylor, but Rose Hill did not give up, levelling at 3-3 when Bob Boyce beat Richard Parker 3-2.

However, Railway finally broke Rose Hill's resistance with a 3-0 pairs win.

Leaders Original Swan extended their advantage at the top to two points with an impressive 8-1 win at home to Bicester Town FC.

Bicester managed only three legs as Swan raced into a 6-0 lead thanks to victories from Tony Leone, Tony Auday, Simon Smith, Nick Cobb, Peter Rouse and Jon Jukes.

Although Bicester fared better in the pairs, they still lost 2-1, as Swan extended their advantage at the top to two points.

A brilliant 154-finish from Lyndon Richards in his clash with Michael Prpa saw White Horse to a narrow 5-4 victory at home to Shelley Arms C.

Shears hit top form as they crushed Abingdon's College Oak 8-1.

In Section 2, Cowley Workers Club opened up a 17-point gap at the summit with a stunning 8-1 success against Shelley Arms A.

They won their first three league games 9-0, 9-0 and 7-2.

In the ladies section, Berinsfield Community Centre pulled off a shock 5-4 victory against Premier side Quarry Gate C.

A surprise looked on the cards when they cruised into a 3-0 lead.

Wins from Maggie Dexter-Naylor and Sam Merrifield narrowed the gap to 3-2, but Berinsfield hit back to take a 4-2 lead.

Berinsfield got the point they needed despite losing the pairs 2-1.
