An Oxfordshire town's Poundland store was forced to close this afternoon after smoke was seen coming out of a customer's mobility scooter.
Witnesses shared pictures of firefighters outside the store in a unit at Abingdon Shopping Centre.
A spokesperson for Poundland said: "The incident was caused after smoke was spotted coming from a customer’s mobility scooter.

"The fire services attended promptly.
"The customer was treated by ambulance staff and we send her our best wishes.
"We’ll re-open once we’ve carried out some minor repairs."
