Six cats were injured and one was killed in what was believed to have been air weapon attacks.
West Oxfordshire police said in the past week they have received reports of cats being harmed by an air weapon between Carterton, Brize Norton and Witney.
The injured cats have been treated and are recovering.

The police advise making sure your cat is microchipped and wearing a collar so it can be identified should it be required.
Anyone who has information should report it by calling the police on 101 or online.
If you see an attack in progress call 999.
Cats are protected under the Welfare of Animals Act.
PCSO Moulding described the attacks as "difficult to comprehend".
