A primary school in Abingdon has built a new sports pitch after a community fundraising effort raised £75,000.
The fundraising began because the previous sports pitch at Carswell Community School was no longer usable.
Over the past year, families, businesses, charities, the parent-teacher association and Abingdon Town Council managed to raise the £75,000 needed to build the school's own sports pitch.

The pitch was officially opened on Monday, March 27, with representatives from charity Christ's Hospital of Abingdon, The Sanghera Foundation from Oxford Nanopore Technology, the town council, school governors, staff and private donors.
Pupils at the school on Bostock Road now use the pitch every day.
For the first time this Easter holiday, the pitch will be used for a TASports holiday camp for children to attend during the break.
