Thames Valley Police is urging the public to avoid Oxford city centre as an incident is dealt with.
It is understood that the incident is a "bomb scare" with our reporter at the scene having been told police are looking for a suspicious package.
We have contacted Thames Valley Police to confirm this.

A police cordon is currently in place on Broad Street and the surrounding streets.
The latest police statement said: "We are aware of an incident in Oxford city centre in the vicinity of Broad Street.
"We currently have a cordon in place and advise the public to avoid the area while the incident is being dealt with.
