An Oxfordshire Specsavers’s store has undergone a major expansion.
The opticians at 17 Orchard Street in Didcot now boasts six optical consulting rooms, one of which is dedicated for audiology appointments, and a contact lens area.
There is also a larger waiting area.

Maria Garcia, store director at Specsavers Didcot said: “The difference the work has made to the store is amazing and we’re delighted with the final result.
“We want to ensure our customers have the best possible experience while they are with us, and also provide our team with a great place to work – I think we’ve ticked those two boxes.”
New technology has been installed in the centre which includes an Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) machine.
This technology allows the optometrist to take a 3D image of the back of the eye to help diagnose serious eye conditions, including glaucoma, up to four years earlier.
As well as improving the environment for its customers, store directors, Maria and Rukhsana Bi, were keen to ensure that their team benefited from the expansion too.
The addition of a large breakout area and updated offices makes the store an even better place to work.
