Police are today mounting high-visibility patrols to reassure residents after a disturbance at a controversial immigration detention centre.
Fires were started and two people were treated for minor injuries, including smoke inhalation, during the disturbance.
Thames Valley Police spokesman Rachel McQuilliam said officers were called to the scene about 2pm on Saturday and stood down about 8pm.
She added an investigation was now likely to be launched but the perimeter fence had not been breached and no one had escaped.
