The donkey arrives in Wallingford
We don’t know his or her name, but he or she was very well behaved during this Palm Sunday service and procession.
The donkey took centre stage on a Palm Sunday walk in 1995 to mark Jesus’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem.
Clergy, choristers and churchgoers accompanied the donkey on the trek from Crowmarsh Gifford to Wallingford, where the Rev John Morley, right, led hymn singing in the town centre.

Palm Sunday - which took place yesterday - is a Christian feast that falls on the Sunday before Easter.
Christ’s entry into Jerusalem is mentioned in each of the four Gospels. Numerous churches in Oxfordshire over the years have hired donkeys for their Palm Sunday celebrations.
