Fire engines have been practicing passing through low traffic neighbourhoods (LTN) in Oxford for future emergencies.
The LTN bollards were installed in May 2022 and the initiative was made permanent in Cowley in July 2022.
The LTNs aim to reduce through traffic and make neighbourhoods quieter.
Oxfordshire County Council confirmed a fire engine was passing through a set of LTNs in Rectory Road on Tuesday afternoon as a practice event.

An eyewitness spotted the fire engine in the middle of the manoeuvre at 2:50pm.
People with high-viz jackets could also be seen watching on.
It led the eyewitness and many others to believe the bollards were blocking the emergency vehicle from passing through.
However, the council later confirmed this was not the case.
The member of the public, who wished to not be named, said he was concerned the low traffic neighbourhood bollards could prevent emergency vehicles from reaching their destination quickly.
